It all started with a sheep. More precisely, a sheep that holds the loo roll.

We put it up for sale without expecting much, and it started outselling everything else. We wondered why, and the answer was simple: nobody needs a sheep-shaped loo roll holder, but everybody smiles when they see one.

That's how Wonky Nook was born.

"Wonky" is that very British word for anything a little bit crooked, a little bit off, and all the more lovable for it. A shelf that never quite sat straight. A cake that only rose on one side. A home that's properly lived in.

We believe a home doesn't need to look like a magazine. It needs a cup of tea, somewhere comfy to sit and at least one thing that makes guests ask, "Where on earth did you get that?"

So everything that comes into our shop has to pass two questions. Is it useful? It has to hold, store, light up or tidy something. Does it make you smile? If it doesn't, it's not coming in.

The result is a small, hand-picked collection of things with character, for the bathroom, the kitchen and every little corner of the house. Perfect for giving, and even better for keeping.
